Design a Press Fit Construction Kit. It better fit as well as it rhymes. Predefine: Sphere of 16" diameter, and 1" circles as the skin pattern of the sphere. Using Rhino/Python, circles were populated on the larger surface and press fit tabs were designed and fitted for every node. Each circular node has 6 press fit tabs connecting to adjacent circles with every circle surrounded by exactly 6 circles.My fingers were numb after interlocking the 200th node, so I've resolved that if I place about 5.8 pieces every day until I graduate in May, then I will have my completed ICE crystal ball just in time to celebrate for graduation.
